A New Life Through Micro-credit
Rahima Begum is a poor woman from a rural village. Her family had many financial problems. Her husband’s income was very small. Rahima joined a group of UERD in her village. She received a small micro-credit loan from the organization. With this money she started a small poultry farm. At first she had only a few chickens. After some months her farm started to grow. She sold eggs and chickens in the local market. Now her family income is better than before. Rahima can support her children’s education. She is now confident and respected in her community.
