Management Structure of UERD: UERD has developed and organized a structured management system which is not bureaucratic.
General Committee: General Committee is the highest body of UERD and consists of 21 members of different professionals. The Committee generally meets once a year. However, if necessary, it can summon emergency meeting. The role of GB is to elect Executive committee member for 2 years duration, review the on going organizational activities and approve the yearly organizational activities plan, budget and yearly financial expenditures.
Executive Committee (EC): The members of the General Body elect 07 members Executive Committee for the period of two years. The EC sits once in every three months to discuss the development of the organization activities, take part of policy making process, organizational management and development and take initiative to implement of the different activities of the organization and solve problems if organization faces so far. The executive committee remains accountable to the general body and the executive officer remains accountable to the executive Committee.
Advisory Committee: UERD has an advisory committee for the smooth operation of the organization. Advisory Committee consists of 3 members of different professional selected by the General Body for two years duration. The role of Advisory committee is to Advice the Executive Committee while the organization faces any critical crises or problems and plays an active role on organizational management and development.
Staff Strength: UERD has a good number of staff (full time and part time) and volunteers. There are central office staffs and project staffs. The project staffs are responsible for the proper implementation of all field activities. The staffs of the central office are responsible to the Executive Director and the area/project office staffs are responsible to the Program Manger through Area Manager. The Program Manager is accountable to the Executive Director.
